Your Voice

I heard your voice tonight
As clear as the moon was bright
And I remembered how it was
For no other reason except because

What was it that you said
A whisper so low instead
It was ‘I love you so’
And I didn’t want to go

But that didn’t matter in the end
Still my love to you I send.
