Your Swinging Door

I answered with love,
you questioned
with anger and pain

I held you close,
but your eyes
failed me again

I told you truly,
as my wishes
dropped to the floor

Your smile my captor,
my heart
  —your swinging door

Painfully personal poem....Each stanza a swinging door of love and loss.
