Your Stronger Than You Think
When all the world around you
seems to be crumbling,
Don't despair or feel so blue, or
join in the grumbling.
You're stronger you know,
inside of you is an inner glow.
A strength that needs to unfold,
your inner man has powers untold,
You can overcome those fears morbid.
Terrors, maybe from being a kid,
Dark places that gave you such fright,
Don't let them scare, live in the light.
For your devils and demons are never real,
In your imagination, they make you feel,
That they are right there and you dread,
Stop it now, they are just in your head.
Hard to stop what you believe to be true,
It's just your mind, messing with you.
You need to secure your inner man somehow
For he has the power to cleanse you now.
Don't bow your head as if in shame,
You are so strong, you can win this game.
PTSD is a curse for many people about,
It is invisible and so people will doubt,
What you say when you just want to scream,
Why can't I wake up from this terrible dream?
Go to folk who can care and to them you declare,
What your problems are and I promise, I swear,
If they have been there themselves they understand,
Then maybe, just maybe, your life will take a new stand.
