Your Reflection

I see that you truly think I’m gone
But only when you’re wrong
I push you away if I still love you
Just keep me away if you see through

I am the end of the night
I’m the coldest height
Things that believe can never tell me why
But keep your distance, before I make you cry

Nobody is safe from the blood red skies
Bleeding its rain until the day we die
Losing our shelter, we hide under the corpse of a lie
Digging so deep, the one thing left is what we deny

I see that you truly think I am dead
I’m changing my mind from the things that I said
But I am your reflection
And I can tell you now, you need some medical attention

I am the end of your dreams
I will show you what seems
The things you believe can only ever deceive
And if you receive what I say you must leave

But nobody can run, we’re all holding guns
Caught in a war that resides in the sun
I’m caught in silence, but I can see your fun
Shooting the hell out of the things that can run

This violence, only one way out
We’re silent, even more so when we shout
I am the mirror, looking at me
I see only one way out, but we can’t let this be

Blow up the world
Killing ourselves
Destroying our cause and our reasons for worth
Turn this around
The things that we’ve found
They’re just a reflection of hate that has bound
It is in our minds
It’s glued to our souls
It eats us alive wherever we go
But you can not find
So I undermine
I am now just your fading reflection
