Listen to poem:

Your Own Promised Land

Burning all bridges behind you, standing on the edge of a plateau
If ever there was a time to see if you can fly, it is now, let's go

There is no looking back, time to spread those wings and fly
This is it; this is now your moment of do, or die

These emotions you are about to feel are beyond all others
As your life flashes before you and all your mistakes in your life it un-covers

This is the greatest journey you will ever make before your feet touch back on this earth
To find yourself still standing to enter a time of your own re-birth

With you leaving all the past behind with nothing, you start anew
To a very different life style with a very different point of view

Where you will now only walk with others who took that same leap of faith
To a life of abundance, happiness, and where no others on you can dictate

This journey to find your inner self is not easy, it was never meant to be
But the knowledge it will bestow on you, is very clear to see

As to walk your life in freedom, and to be rid of all your karmic debts
Where you will never once look back, or have any past regrets

Fearing not your enemies, as from them you will always be above
Now only walk with the gods that shower you with their protection and their love

Cursed are all those who failed you, or failed of you to understand
Who regret their own lack of loyalty to you, and now find themselves damned

Your suffering was never in vain; this is after all just a part of God’s own plan
Say your last good-byes to your past; as you enter into your own, Promised Land
