Your Once Luminous Love Is Now a Shadow On the Wall

Our life together was the brightest sunlight

A piercing ray that lit up the darkest night

This radiance that nothing could ever shade

A shining star we never thought would fade

Then all at once the illumination was burnt out

Filling my world with lurid pain and a dusky doubt

A blackish cloud hangs over my once brilliant eyes

Now my life is tormented with dull gloomy skies

Will there be a clearing is anyone’s lucid guess

For now my heart is drab and completely sunless

The memory of our fluorescent feelings I now often recall

Your once luminous love is now a shadow on the wall
