Your Memory

I remember Sitting on your knee The little songs You use to sing to me. Twinkle twinkle Llittle star and Today I passed You on the street. Hands like concrete But gentle to me Held me tight And kept me naive. We had our fights when I was a teen Words that we said We didn't really mean Time ticks bye Things start to change We grew older My friend you became It's days like these Reminds me of fall When my heartache began When God came to call I'll be okay I wipe away the tears Your memory holds me now After all these years
