Your Love Felt Home Inside My Heart
All night and day with dread I felt
The looming departure for your new home
In just three weeks you curled yourself inside my heart
You, a foster puppy, so cute you stole away my heart
Even though I tried so hard to deny the love I felt
You bought joy and laughter to my happy little home
Now you have gone, off to your forever home
And have left behind a little emptiness in my heart
Yet so glad am I to know this love I always will have felt
The feelings felt have found a home in my tenderest of heart
