Your Love
Cloudy at first
Colorless it seems
Protective of heart
Letting little in
Blind to many things
Years slip away
Living nonexistant
Only being
Losing out on many things
Life carries on
The color of it all
So bright
Slipped into a place of darkness
Not wanting to come out
Safe and protected
Feeling little
Holding back
Walls built
Strong and steadfast
To protect a shattered heart
Words spoken
From your heart
Powerful enough
To make a crack
Slipping in to touch my heart
Finding the shattered pieces
Slowly mending
So true, I can see it now
I see it in your eyes
Memorizing
The sparkle there
Strong and true
No words spoken
All told in your eyes
So inviting
Wanting to let go
My darkness within
And straight to your light
To a place I truly belong
The crack breaking open
Your light shinning through
Like the rain to a flower
My heart growing within
From the Love of your heart.
