Your Light Shines

If not for the light of your being
My world would be in darkness
Submerged in a tormented sea

My breaths would be so waning
As I would wrestle the currents
Praying and gasping, to be free

Yet, your presence pulls me up
Arms reaching through the blue
Pulling me to the brightest sky

If not for the light of your being
I would have drowned all alone
Just being left there then to die

Dearest angel, your light shines
Upon the entire world, but for me
It is the source of all happiness

Never extinguish the natural glow
As it serves to make me better
Or else, my life be suppressed
