Your Last Breath
Fields tinted with golden rays
Always remind me of those days
I wish I could bring them all back
Replenish the very things I lack
Hear your laughter, see your smile
Hand in hand, all across the mile
Where we played and ran free
Everything was ok, just you and me
When darkness took you, I was alone
Drenched by secrets, nothing shown
I don’t think I was ever the same
Years of silence, then words in a frame
Holding my heartache, too often to read
Always feeling like living, was just a seed
Ready to grow, but stunted by death
With memory of your very last breath
