Your Heart's Door

If I knock repeatedly on your heart's door, 
          Would you unlock it for me?  
    Is there enough room for both of us?

       Suppose I ring the bell, or plead,   
 Would you grant me an invitation tonight, 
      Or keep me locked out in the cold?

     Would you let me stay in your heart 
    Forever and a day? Is it a cozy home? 
   Would you kindly give me a spare key?

           Would you let me sneak in 
          And make your heart whole, 
       If I promise I'm yours for keeps?
