Your Gift

2009: Poem for E, who lost her baby...one of the worst human experiences. With love and light and blessings... Your Gift A Poem for E By Michelle Morris February 2009 You are a precious gift from God; I loved you so right from the start. No matter that fate our human bond has ended, My heart so broken; My life upended. The reason is one I cannot get, I am but human, A tiny spec, In a universe so infinitely large, My life’s problems, Seem like such a farce. The lesson in this, I cannot tell, A punishment for me That loved you well? You my darling one, I wanted you so dear, You were my everything; You were my sun. God’s answer to me I know would be, I loved you well, So perfectly, God’s blessing in All one day I’ll see No matter though – For me, you remain My precious gift – Eternally. I love you. © Michelle Morris, 2009

May I give you a word of advice? A poem a day keeps the soupers interested (revised proverb). This is a pity because you wrote a highly emotive poem worthy of notice.
