Your Friend
My eyeballs saw you and sent you to my stomach
My stomach hiccupped up to my mouth and made it smile
My mouth blabbed to my brain but my brain said
..."wait"
To my heart, who felt too much for two seconds then compelled
My face to flush and my legs to rush past your waving hand
And my brain reminds us all again
We are not your friend
My eyeballs find the floor and sweat but
My stomach grumbles about the salty taste to
My mouth who frowns at my brain sitting
Righteous and oblivious, glaring towards
My heart in the corner, who forgot to ask permission first,
Making my face look foolish and my legs too brisk to be cool
And my heart reminds us all again,
We were once your friend
Your friend.
