Your Creed
Screwed Contest

My love you left me far out west,
I knew our love would be a test,
before you leave, one last request,
tell me baby, "why so depressed?"
I promised you help when in need,
I broke it out of bitter greed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That morning I got up and dressed,
saying good bye, who would've guessed?
younger days I was your conquest,
you're older now and not impressed.
You said our good bye was agreed,
I said, “that's fine good bye indeed."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Through all our changes I confess,
too many times I was so stressed,
you seemed different from the rest,
my sadness seemed so unexpressed.
Mind races though I am fatigued,
warned you were a different breed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laying I prayed on your headrest,
so tired, needing to decompress,
had a feeling you were distressed,
so now it's my turn to suppress.
How in the world should I proceed?
To see the truth behind your creed.
