Your Card
I received an email today , from someone far away,
It came in the form of a card, and this what it had to say.
Theres only two days in a week that we should never worry about,
Yesterday you cant help or change, theres no doubt.
The other one is tomorrow ,it holds a mystery for everyone,
That is true in a lot of ways, except for just this one.
If you make promises to someone ,that you can be here,
Then go back on your word,It shows that you dont care.
If this only happens one or twice, it wouldent be hard to take,
But when it happens often, its hard for goodness sake.
You say your working on it , but nothing seems to change,
I know ill be here tomorrow, but you will be out of range.
I recall many times , i let it slip by,
But sooner or later ,i have to open my eyes.
When i see a repeat of things,that happens quite a lot,
I wonder where this friendship is going,to be sure i am not.
The Lord says in the bible , to turn the other cheek,
But how often must i do this,just to show im meek.
I hope some day things will change, no more bad days to come,
Then having a TRUE friend on line , will turn out to be fun.
