Your Canvas

One mistake too many,
      the last domino to fall.
Second chances jar empty,
     no more problems to solve.

A riverbed of thoughts,
streams of humming making the sound.
Our memories created the current,
having the time again to dance around.

Day is young and bright,
a jump on it before forming the dew.
Time for a fresh start,
beginnings to begin, best intentions anew.

A heart with some miles on it,
      all its character earned.
A deep well of life and living,
the pump fueled of hope... of lessons learned.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

' Time for a fresh start. ' This small, yet powerful line says it all. It's like wiping the slate clean. In life, we learn from mistakes made, or we should. Your thoughts caress softly around me and my heart. My best to you. ~ Brandy

Thank you for your kind words. As I get older, letting go is sometime the biggest lesson to learn. I'm glad this writing compelled you to comment. Thank you!
