You called and said that you loved me today
And now my smile won’t be put away
You called to say that you’ll love me tomorrow
And that my heart will never again know sorrow
You called to say that you’ll love me next year
And that you’ll never leave me, so I need not fear
You called to say that you’ll love me for life
So will I marry you and become your wife
