Your Birthday Without You
Happy Birthday Mama,
I so wish that you were here.
I booked the day off work
just like I do each year.
I didn't know at the time
that you would pass away
before we got a chance to celebrate
this very special day.
It hasn't even been two months.
I still reach for the phone.
I can't stop these tears that fall
and I feel so very alone.
Happy Birthday Mom
I really love you so.
You'll be on my mind the whole day through
I just wanted you to know.
