Young Love

(10/23/11)

Since elementary school they became friends
They knew this friendship would never end.
She was seven, he was eight , but their lives
Were put in the hands of faith,

He always protected her from any harm
This was her knight - this was her charm.
When they got to middle school
They saw each other in a different light
They knew something was happening
This just wasn’t right.

As they was walking from school she tripped
And almost fell.
He grabbed her by the arm, and felt his groin
Begin to swell.

She got the same sensation as they held each other tight.
It was a feeling they knew they could not fight.
Their lips came together in a soft gentle kiss
Sending waves of passion that they could not resist.

As they pulled away, their lips were still on fire
And their insides was burning with desire.
So many thoughts and questions entered his mind
And the thoughts just flew by.
He told her in a whisper that could hardly be heard
It came out like on the wings of a bird.

Let me soar on the wings of a dove
Let me find everlasting love
Let the air waves carry me
To a place that’s loving and free.

Let me feel how love grows
This is something I don’t know
I never felt love before
Till you opened up the door.
I am now feeling what everyone talks about
And to the world I want to shout
If I can find love ! Why can’t you?
This is something you’ve got to do.

From our childhood years ,we felt
Something that we could not know
That it was a love that would forever grow.
I had her love from the start
And forever she will be in my heart.

Louis to me this is a great one. Young Love is so valid at any age no doubt. We just don't do much about it when we are so very very young. But now in the winter of my years, I still love my kindergarten teacher and class mates Sandra and Gail and so many more in a lifetime full of loving. Each love always so valid, never did die and never will. A great poem that really got me to thinking.. Thanks for it...... James And thank you for your comments on my poem in July
