You Wouldn'T Last

You destroy me little by little,
and yet you fail to understand.
why do you say these cruel things that aren't true,
when your only describing yourself?
why do you want to put me down?
Are you mad because I got something you don’t have?
Look at me and then look at yourself!
what do you notice that's different?
What’s different is that I am me,
and you are trying to be somebody else.
I want you to feel my pain,
hear my cry,
smell my fears,
touch my walls of darkness,
and see the things that I see,
you know why?
Because you wouldn't last a second in my world!
