You Were There

You were there, Where you never were before. I looked into eyes, That I could not ignore. I felt it in my bones, A longing for your warmth. I felt it in my soul, And promptly went forth. I longed to hear your voice, Yearned to have you near. Hoping that when I spoke, It might be music to your ear. You ask why, Why I love you so much. I cannot tell you, Why I need your touch. But one day so long ago, You were there. Suddenly, love entered my world, Filling the sweet air. My soul dances, Walking in the air. And all of this because, You suddenly were there.

I loved that Emily…flows nice and very romantic too! BTW your last name is very familiar; probably because it was my maiden name! Happy writing fellow poet!
