You Were There

You were there when I hurt
You were there when I graduated
You were there when I cried
You were there when I need someone to help
You were there when there was a problem
You were there when I was scared
You were there when I had my good days
You were there when I had my bad days
You were there when I feel
You were there to pick me back up
You were there when noone else was
You were there when it didn't seem you were there at all
You've always been there
And I just know realized this
And even though I'm 24 years old your still there for me
You've been an inspiration
I couldn't every repay you for being there for me
Cause you weren't even my real mother
But that didn't stop you from being there for me
