You Were Loved By Everyone

You were loved by everyone

It's been a while since we spoke
And I miss you every day
I'm struggling with your absence
And my world seems kind of grey

I admit that I never realised
How much you meant to me
I'm sorry I never showed you
My deepest gratitude and feelings

I hope you always knew that
You were loved by everyone
Times have been tough these last years
And I know you're concerned for mum

But, as you watch us from Heaven
I hope you see the truth
That we live in love and honour
Of all that we feel for you

For even though you're not here
We feel that you're part of us
Our family is all connected
By a blessed higher purpose

And your grandchildren know this
That we live with honour and integrity
We will continue to create a legacy
That you can be proud of eternally 

One day, we will be together
A clan of good and truth
We'll help raise this Earth
To coexist in a brighter future
