You Warned Me

This pulsating pain in my head lingers yet another day
This whiskey bottle lies dead and dry upon the floor
My sheets ripped off the bed were so much love was made
You warned me I'd pay..
Those were your words as you shut the door, and I shrugged then closed the shades.

I still see your memory when I sit alone in the dark
In my hand sits a glass pressed against my palm.
In it my reflection is as cold as the ice floating around under my lips
Your words impact my heart. They scratched me; left a mark
How can I stay calm
My feet slip off the edge, i loose my grip.
I slip...

Into another day I awake
Wishing it was over before it begins
Such a helpless wreck I am inside without you
You have taken my soul,
My hope descends..
I'm hopeless..what do I do?

All is forgiven. Your soul is entact. Its the spirit you lack. So, just ask him for it back. May you find peace.
