Notes About The Poem
at the edge of the world I will disappear - poet

You Wait

The edge
of the world waits;
the place I have chosen
to disappear into the great
unknown,
knowing
you may be there
in that place; I'm hoping,
praying, trusting with all my heart,
you wait.

The edge unknown, knowing you wait.

Dear Chetta, Your poem is a wondrous reflection on the intersection of longing and uncertainty. The imagery of disappearing into the great unknown, while hoping and trusting someone may be there, is both haunting and hopeful. Your words capture the delicate balance between vulnerability and resilience in matters of the heart. Thank you for sharing this beautifully introspective piece with us. - Blessings, Daniel
