You Smiled
I saw something today I've not seen for a while;
it didn't last long, but nonetheless, it was a smile.
Alzheimer's had hidden that part of you from me,
and yet, suddenly, you smiled, and I got to see.
And I want to believe it was deliberate,
for the meaning behind that smile seemed explicate.
