You Should

You Should

When I say, that I
want you, and I
adamantly persist-
 You should always give
in not try and resist -
When I say that I need
you and I want you to stay,
You should remain by my side
 not run away.
When I am crying out loud
and you act as if you
don't care -
It makes me contemplate
if we should even be a pair.
You should always
 care about my wants, my
needs, and my desires,
 You should lend me support
 not be a liar -
 I assumed when I
spoke you were my ears,
 When we are together
 you should ease
all my fears -
I respect what you
want and about what
 you need too,
As your partner it is
 what I must do
