You Sent Your Word
I was walking, wondering around In a world of despair.
Running into all kinds of people who just did not care.
I was lost and deeply lonely.
Like many, I did not know what to do.
Lord, I was looking in all the wrong places
trying to find peace and love in unknown faces.
Then You did appear to me so bright.
As a storm in the night.
Your bright presence did overwhelm me,
I knew this has to be alright.
You came to me in a vision
You spoke just enough to attain my attention.
You whispered “listen my child”
to this message for now, have patience for a little while.
I sat, obediently and listened; I waited and I cried.
I prayed, Lord it's been so long.
And as I cried out to You; You sent Your Word
to bring me such amazing hope.
In Your Word I found You waiting.
When I thought I had reached the end of my rope.
You sent Your Word to lift me up;
You sent Your Word to fill my cup.
