You Never Know

Will the sun come up tomorrow?
Heaven only knows
I saw your beautiful face this morning
You said goodbye - I said hello

Another day together
Going on our busy way
The assumption is tomorrow
O' how I yearn for yesterday

Now I’m alone in a world
Just trying to make it through another day
The emptiness I’m feeling
And all the words I didn’t say

Thoughts in my head
Left unsaid
How I long to tell you so

Cause you just never know

You never know

The message on your cell phone
I call it day to day
I keep hoping you will answer
To say the things I didn’t say

Should have spent more time with you
Should have held you when you cried
I hope you know how much I loved you
There’s so much more I left inside

Now I’m alone in a world
Just trying to make it through another day
The emptiness I’m feeling
And all the words I didn’t say

Thoughts in my head
Left unsaid
How I long to tell you so

Cause you just never know

You never know

I lay my head on your pillow
I say I love you and goodnight
I can feel your arms around me
I pray for one chance to do it right

Thoughts in my head
Left unsaid
How I long to tell you so

Cause you just never know

You never know
