You Never Knew Yourself

Only if you knew
The twist would have turned
The tap would have flowed
The face would have smiled
The heart would have mended

Only if you knew
The horses would have raced
The chances would have been created
The fire would have sparked
The stars would have twinkled

Only if you knew
A tear would have been wiped
A good bye would have been prevented
A guilt would have been forgiven
A pain would have healed
