You Made Me Love You
Letting us go on
As single lost souls
Is just a challengeof life
Never again to be husband and wife
Do you ever look around
To see where we are
A couple of mountains between us
Wearing the same scar
Years will heal your wounds
Just as time did mine
When this finally happens
A true love you will find
This person will be there
To love you in every way
Hold you when your
Happy, sick, or just having a bad day
With our past growing longer
There is nothing I can do
To make you see, feel, and understand
I love all of you
You can do nothing to hurt me
For I have hurt all these years
It's built into my daily routine
But I shed no tears
You made me into a beautiful woman
A mother for all to call
A professional in the work world
Until you made a call
My beauty turned to wrinkles
Bad teeth showing in my smile
Saying I was skin and bones
Spelling my name wrong all the while.
You let time take advantage
Of your hatred towards me
Your revenge tactics almost worked
But I just buried them in my heart of memories
As wrong as it is
I don't care what people say
I will continue to want, desire, and love you
Until death takes me away
