You Loved Me Then You Lied

You said you loved me one day
The next you were so forlorn
Said you made a mistake
That you don't love me now its dawn

The next day the same thing happened
You loved me all over again
This time I started dancing
As you kissed me once then ten

Yet the very next day
You broke my heart once more
Intoxicated you had lied
Angry me said there is the door'

Yet every time you ran away
You screamed out my name
I couldn't get far away
As you needed me once again

The ups and downs were stressful
 I needed you too
I was so in love that
I was possessed by you

So the circles went around
For three whole years
You saying you loved me
 ending up in tears

 One day I decided
For good or for bad
It was time to leave you
As I felt too sad

Yet decades later my dreams speak your name
I know in my heart I'll never be the same

You said you loved me then you lied
Something in my heart has died.
