You Lied To Me

You promised me roses, Said you'd bring me the sunrise. But all you did offer were thorns You brought me nothing but darkness. Thought you were an angel It shreds my heart to see your horns. I mistook you for Ariel When you're Calliban in disguise. A beautiful bag of crisis Evil painted in all fairness I fell for it A kiss so sweet. I lost my wit On that fine street. I took it all Bait, hook, line, sinker Brought down my wall Wasn't a thinker I let my guard down And you took the crown O! O! I should have known That you are just a gold digger You take what you don't own And slay with a sweet blunt dagger How come I didn't see The foul maggots in your cupboard O! It must be those eyes How long have you been lying to me It was a nice show here's an applaud Farewell to those wonderful lies It breaks my heart To come to think that You could actually lie to me That you ain't what you claimed to be You lied to me You lied to me Baby those nights You lied to me On the yatch You lied to me In the garage You lied to me In the blue lights You lied to me In Paris You lied to me With that iris You lied to me You lied to me O! You lied to me
