You Left Me a Garden

You left me a garden,
To remember you by,
Filled with beautiful flowers,
The Spring before you died.

But those beautiful flowers,
Could never compare,
With the memories I treasure,
So beautiful and so rare,

Of a love and a friendship,
That never will die,
Even though, for a while,
We had to say goodbye.

Thanks so much, Khrysstine!.. It was written in memory of my dear husband, Carl. I look forward to reading your poetry also.
