You Know You Can Trust Me
You Know You Can Trust Me
By Elton Camp
He’s the most trustworthy man I ever saw
Yep, that’s sure true of my brother-in-law
He never saves back against a rainy day
When funds are short, he comes our way
It seems that from his job he just got fired
But for one even better he’s been hired
Before the payday, his funds will be gone
He sure hates to ask, but he needs a loan
To pay it back right away he says he’ll do
And he insists on paying us interest too
However, the loan we gave five years ago
It seems he has forgotten all about, though
His car is newer and nicer than we own
And he has the most advanced iPhone
Bubba plays golf most every weekend
On restaurant meals, money does spend
Yes, we’ve found we can trust him all right
Trust him to return next time he’s in a tight
