You Know I Once Was One
You know I once was one
I took the oath to become
One who wore the blue for 44 years
Through the ups and downs and tears
I stood for the Queen's peace
And sometimes a shoulder in your grief
But now it's done I wonder why
Would I do it again now the times gone by
You know I once was one............
