You Know I Love You Baby

you know I love you, baby

you know I love you, baby
ever since that first night
you pulled me closer
and held me tight

I felt my body melt into yours
every kiss, every touch
we gave each other
made me want you even more

losing you never felt so good
in my dreams you treat me like you should
I forget the pain I feel when I'm awake
in fantasy my heart never has to break

I prefer the fantasy
to painful reality
dreaming us together again
means our love never has to end

time it spins its evil web
on memories of us
making love and sleeping
in each other's beds

I miss playing with the hair upon your chest
and smelling the sweetness of your breath
fingering through your curly hair
I close my eyes and you take me there, yeah, you take me there

losing you never felt so good
in my dreams you treat me like you should
I forget the pain I feel when I'm awake
in fantasy my heart never has to break

I prefer the fantasy
to painful reality
dreaming us together again
means our love never has to end

my mind it always turns back time
back to when you were mine
it lingers there until your last smile
reminding me that I'm still in denial

I'll keep praying for your heart to change
they say God works in mysterious ways
it may take a miracle to change our fate
turning your feelings to love from hate
