You Just Are
A rumor is going around
I'm not sure if it's true
There are people who
are happy
Have you heard it too ?
Did they buy a fancy new car
Or wish upon a shiny star
No, no, they just are
Did they buy all new clothes
Or get a new job on the nose
No, it's nothing they chose
they just are
Did they take some happy pills
Or find happy cures for sad ills
No, they stay hopeful and happy
through their spills and ills
they just are
So can I get this happiness too ?
It would be too good to be true
I've tried before, to stay off the floor
And keep the happy door open
So was my heart so hoping
but I wasn't
Happiness was so hard
Dodging glass slivers and shards
Believing you were worth it
Knowing no one is perfect
so hard
How awesome to look at sadness
From lifetimes of lives afar
Then YOU can be one of the happy people
Just because...
YOU JUST ARE !!
