You In the Night

The night creeps up silently,

You invade my thoughts effortlessly.

The moonlight lightens my room,

My love for you begins to bloom.

The stars mirror your twinkling eyes,

With you my loneliness slowly dies.

In the silence I hear your melodic voice,

With it my heart instantly begins to rejoice.

I feel your touch in the light breeze,

It seduces my total being with ease.

The crickets carry a beautiful tune,

They follow the conduction of the moon.

As everyone else is sleeping,

I find myself your company seeking.

As the world stops to rest,

I long for your presence here in my nest.
