You Identify as Kansas

Only can Identify as Kansas

You may now not drive in Kansas--
I can not make this up!
I revoked your driver's license
In hopes that you give up.

I know the stock is falling down,
And gas is rising up,
Because we dismissed the congress
And now Iran blew up.

And I know that Trump's a felon,
And pardoning his sheep,
And I know that ice is killing
Protestors on the street.

And I remember Charlie Kirk,
And how I said it was the left
When a white male Republican
Christian cisgender caused the theft.

And I know about the files,
And the victims that are silenced,
The elites and veiled officials,
Who laughed with glee on the island.

But that's all hard to fix.
You remain quite easy.
I say you're the pervert, rather,
And they sit there and believe me.

I convince them that their bathrooms
Is where you perverts lurk.
I convince them all your school books
Is full of witching words.

Now when I supress or mock you--
(Like taking your IDs)
Or force you to conform to me--
(Go renew your ID's sex, please!)

The sheep cheer; I fixed some problem--
Well, a problem I created,
My version--
(Because now they never see you)
Of the facts can't be debated.

So drink up, now, deciet tastes sweet:
Wine called 'you are a crime.'
My plan has come this far,
And further one sip at a time.

Home of the free, home of the brave
They don't go hand and hand.
Brave you are, resisting pressure,
But freedom's reserved for the grand.

Powerful and punchy poem. That new law is horrifying, enraging, heartbreaking. Write on. xomo

Thank you. Sometimes you just have to write to organize the chaos.
