You Don'T Know What You Had

Boy you should be glad
But you don't know what you had and
It's killing me
It's not meant to be
We spent so many years then
The love just disappears
And you don't want to stay
So just walk away
I don't know what else to say
Anymore you walked out the door
It's too bad
You don't know what you had
It's sad so I will say goodbye
You refused to try
I am starting to cry and I am
Wondering why?
It's not meant to be
It's killing me
I didn't want to believe
That you would leave
Me all alone
I am staring at the phone
Waiting for it to ring
But I don't hear anything
But you don't know what you had
We spent so many years and
Then the love just disappears
I didn't want to let you go
Because I love you so
I think about you at night
Wondering if you are alright
You don't know what you had
Because it's rare to find someone
To care and no one can ever compare
So please be aware
But sometimes we must learn
Love doesn't always return
To you the same way
Sometimes love can't stay
Sometimes love slips away
And I don't have anything else to say

Hello Kimberly Ferguson, I do agree with your poem. Yes sometimes love does not come back. Something went wrong along the way, a good woman is hard to find. I told my husband after he cheated on me.. Youdid not know you had a good thing. He hung his head in guilt.he passed away. Have a nice day my friend.
