You Deserved Better

YOU DESERVED BETTER

You’ve given me everything you could
And I haven’t always responded as I should
You deserved to have a better son than me
That’s plain enough for me to see
Mum, I haven’t always behaved like a perfect son
But I think now I’ve finished all the work that you’ve begun.

She'd be very proud of the way you turned out, Syd. Tomorrow is the second anniversary of my father's death and I hope I can still find a way to make him proud as he watches over me from heaven. A very moving poem, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Nice tribute you have paid to your mother. I think you deserved the love of your mother as you have finished the work that she began, Sydney
