You Can'T Have Me

Release me then from strengthened grip
Seducer you, oh devil’s child
My will is strong, I shall not slip
Though tempting, you do drive me wild

I will never choose to take that route
Though you try so hard to make me weak
But, love is strong, no stronger, I tout
It is in my heart, of which I speak

So, devil run, pay heed, take flight
You will not win me, here, this night

My heart, it holds continued light
My life is strengthened, by words, two
My spouse, she offers future bright
Empowered by the words, “I do”

So, leave now demon, you shall not win
I hold the key, I hold it strong
I will not give in to your sin
For I am where I do belong

So, devil run, pay heed, take flight
You will not win me, here, this night
