You Cannot Take My Soul Because I Have Too Much Heart
You can place the world on my shoulder
I’ll still hold it up and still grow older
You can tell me that my time is quickly running out
I’ll still finish ahead and I’ll never have a doubt
I may fall down when I take your hit
But you can’t keep me down and I’ll never quit
I’ll give it my all until my final day when I part
But you cannot take my soul because I have too much heart
You can throw me a curve and I’ll still hit it out of the park
I’ll rejoice in the light even when you show me the dark
You can show me the edge and I’ll push a little more
I’ll win every match no matter what the score
I may fall down when I take your hit
But you can’t keep me down and I’ll never quit
I’ll give it my all until my final day when I part
But you cannot take my soul because I have too much heart
Try to puzzle me and I still will be clear
You can tell me it’s the end and I’ll have no fear
You can try to bend me but I’ll never break
I’ll fight with my last breath for what’s stake
I may fall down when I take your hit
But you can’t keep me down and I’ll never quit

I’ve lived more life with pain and suffering
Sickness and hardship is just but a thing
You can torture me forever to try to find out what’s inside
But my faith can move mountains and I stand tall with pride
I may fall down when I take your hit
But you can’t keep me down and I’ll never quit
