You Call Me Brother
You call me brother
Yet you put asunder
Told her you saw me with Ann
And told me she's with 'nother man
For the love of the thing beneath the skirt
You set me up to kick unripe bucket
If that my breath was within your hand
I'd be long gone to Foreverland
In my heart of hearts I wanna pay you back
Forgiveness is one of the virtues I lack
But The Lord's Prayer says that I should forgive you
So that Father may forgive my vices too
You call me brother
But my progress you tryna hinder
I taught you how to catch fish
Seeing me broke and starving is your wish
While I was busy watching your back
You were scheming to stab me in the back
All along you were feeding me vinegar
Even though I have been offering you sugar
Thanks Heaven my fate lies not in your hand
By now I'd be long gone to Foreverland
You sent me to the salt market brother
And you sent the rains after me brother
Brother I wish you had nine thousand lives
Infact if the hairs on your head were lives
My revenge has stomach to swallow them all
But I wanna be in whites when the trumpets call
He said forgive them they know not what they do
I forgive you So Father'll forgive my sins too
