You Are War
And so through the sands of time,
Comes thought provoking knowledge.
Distant dreamers are sleepless,
Stirring restlessly into the night.
The wings of a dove are clipped,
Flight restricted, bound to the ground.
The call of the wild, a shrill screech,
The whisper of the wind shouts loudly.
Everything you once coveted is worthless,
As leaves fall from your trees in early spring.
Your hearth provides no fire only ice,
As the petals of a rose die before your eyes.
The tunnel carries on yet there’s still darkness,
Can you ever remember it’s shining light?
All consuming hate your main objective,
Fuelled by the pestilence our rock has etched.
Into the minds of beings, wrong doing is justified,
Minds in turmoil, constant grief to wake us up.
Ever changing, when did man become so hostile?
Too strong an urge for barriers to hold you thunder on!
