You Are Not a Bird

You say things, but you do not hear your own words, you lift your wings, but you are not a bird. You see things, but your eyes were closed, you got the picture, but left the negative exposed. You hear things, but you didn't know a pied piper's tune, you dance along, but you did not understand the boon. You feel things, but you abused their power, you captured a girl's heart, but left her inside the tower. You taste things, but do not understand, you steal time,but you begged off fate's right hand. You looked at me, but you never did see you and I were everything, but left, turned your back on me
