You Are My Mister Dream Crusher

My feelings are so conflicted
Since the day that you insisted
I choose between a life with you
Or my dream job coming true
Ever since my childhood
I've been wanting something good
To happen so I can be
Joyful and living happy
When fate brought us both together
You promised now and forever
There's nothing I'd be denied
Believing the truth that was lied
My heart chose a love so precious
That would make my life treacherous
Blinded from the very start
 It would soon fall apart
When I came to you one day
With these words I had to say
About a job offered to me
I was filled with jubilee
But my joy would not last long
With harsh words so tough and strong
Telling me loudly and clear
I'm not going anywhere
To follow the dreams I've longed for
Now their on a distant shore
I can't reach or even find
Wanting my life to rewind
To the worst time and place
When we met, I want erased
So this predicament I'm in
Never occurred and I win
My life back with all my plans
Of dreams so huge and so grand
As I turn around and smile
At someone who's mean and vile
And without a word I push
Past him with a hollow look
Walking into bright sunshine
Knowing I will be just fine

robin, you always make me want to know where your poetry comes from , real life or things you have heard about. I like to imagine you happy with your family. You do good writing about people with disappointments in their life!
