You Are a Stone Mountain

You are a steep mountain. Offering me no hope to scale you. Giving me no rocks to cling to No reason for me to push through. No matter how much I train my body In an attempt to reach the top You are a steep mountain And though I try to climb I drop. You are a stormy sea Offering me no hope to cross Offering thunder claps to make me deaf Giving me tidal waves to knock me into the depths Allowing me no escape except through death And no matter how much I train myself Or how big I build my boat You are a stormy sea And I can never stay Afloat
